A few things before you start

Is this full cross stitch or backstitch lettering?+

The letters use full cross stitches on a square grid. They do not contain backstitch outlines, fractional stitches, or a machine-embroidery file.

How do I change the spacing?+

Set letter spacing in empty grid squares, use line breaks for multiple lines, and adjust line spacing and alignment. A larger letter scale increases the stitch count. Review the whole phrase before printing.

Can I use names with accents?+

Yes. Uppercase and lowercase Latin letters and common accents are supported, including José, Anaïs and Mãe. The editor identifies unsupported characters so you can change them; it does not silently drop them.

How does fabric count affect the finished size?+

For Aida stitched over one square, divide the chart width and height in stitches by the fabric count to get inches. A 56-stitch width on 14-count Aida is 4 inches, about 10.2 cm. If you work over two threads on another fabric, use the effective stitches per inch. Add extra fabric for your finishing margins.

Can I save the chart and finish it later?+

Download the editable JSON project and import it again, including on another device. PNG and PDF are printable references. Browser drafts stay on that device and may be removed when its storage is cleared.

Is the text generator free?+

Yes. Creating, editing and exporting the chart is free, with no account required.
